Description

Healthcare Outreach

Thanks to a grant from the Colorado Trust, Hope Communities now has a full-time healthcare caseworker to help residents connect with Medicaid, CHP+ and primary care. Food Share America Food Share America is a national, discount food program that saves families 50% on grocery bills. Residents can make their food item selections in the first two weeks of the month, and food is delivered to our properties for distribution on the 4th Friday of the month.
CPR & First Aid Knowing basic CPR & first aid could save a life someday, and we want our residents to be equipped with the skills to be proactive. This free class certifies participants in basic life-saving skills, and prepares them to deal with the worst-case scenario.

Health Screenings

With the high cost of health care, one medical emergency can destroy a family’s budget. Regular health screenings keep our residents healthy and informed about their cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight.

Coat Distribution

Every year Hope receives a donation of several dozen winter coats, and passes those on to our residents in an annual coat distribution. These coats keep our community out of the harsh cold and reduce the risk of developing health problems from exposure to the elements.

Hope Communities partners with many organizations to provide Health & Wellness Programs. You can visit their sites to learn more about them:
