Please join Hope Communities in welcoming Cindy Culkin and Debbie Herrera to the Board of Directors.
Cindy is currently the Vice President of Administration and Human Resources for the Daniels Fund. In her current role she works with evaluation, personnel issues, and supports overall management and administration needs of the organization. She is directly involved with the Board of Directors, governance, compliance and evaluation.
Prior to her position at the Daniels Fund, Cindy served as the Executive Director of Financial Affairs for Shalom Cares, a nonprofit organization providing services to seniors. Prior to that, she spent most of her career in commercial bank operations working with policies, procedures, business line analysis, compliance, and customer service and satisfaction. Cindy is a past board member and treasurer for the Colorado Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund and a current member of the City of Englewood’s Community Relations program. Cindy attended Cannon’s Business College in Honolulu, Hawai’i where she studied international business.
Debbie is the Director of Human Resources for Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA). In her current role, she has led CHFA’s efforts to implement corporate culture initiatives that foster employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, wellness, and training. She is a member of CHFA’s Senior Management Team and also co-leads the organization’s annual strategic planning efforts.
Debbie has 20 years of Human Resources experience primarily serving the mortgage and finance industry. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Human Resources Management from the University of North Florida. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, she relocated to Colorado (for the second time) in October 2001.
